Event Recap – Biogas Americas 2025

Azura’s Principal Engineer, David Ellis and Bioprocess Analyst, Peter Quosai had a wonderful time at the Biogas Americas conference hosted by the American Biogas Council! A must attend event for renewable energy professionals from around the world, this year’s event took place April 28 through April 30, 2025 in Denver, Colorado.

This was another record breaking year for the Biogas Americas Conference. Increased attendance and exhibitors secured the conference’s 4th year as North America’s largest biogas and RNG trade show. There were more than 2,000 attendees with a focus on growing the biogas market and creating a more sustainable future. This included renewable energy professionals from the full spectrum of the biogas and RNG industry including: project developers, owners, operators, investors, equipment suppliers, technology vendors, policymakers, and service providers.

Biogas is the only carbon neutral (and potentially carbon negative) fuel that is currently available and therefore a critical component for managing organic waste and lowering our carbon footprint. The United States is seeing growing demand for biogas and this conference was a fantastic opportunity to meet with industry leaders and learn about innovative projects and new technology.

The technical sessions featured insightful discussions about the current challenges and opportunities of anaerobic digestion. Dave and Peter were able to bring back many new insights to share with Team Plaid.
