Join Azura’s Bioprocess Analyst, Peter Quosai as he presents “Grit: What it is and what to do about it” at 9:30am on Wednesday March 19th. Grit poses a costly challenge to biodigesters, with cleanouts costing up to $2M. Unlike wastewater systems, digesters process grit with higher variability, organic content, and complex surface chemistry. During this session, Peter will address the value of understanding grit composition and explore pre-treatment methods to mitigate grit’s impact. This session will also feature interactive components where attendees will be given practical tools to identify, analyze, and manage grit in diverse feedstock streams.
